Tampa General Hospital’s Medical-Surgical/Telemetry Units consist of 604 beds and feature an admit/discharge unit, complex medicine, joint replacement, orthopedics, medical observation unit, neuroscience, oncology, primary care, specialty surgery, the nursing rehab unit, the Acute Care for the Elderly Unit (ACE), Adult Stepdown Unit, cardiac observation, cardiac telemetry, CV Center, and cardiovascular telemetry. These units value the art and science of nursing and offer a high level of interaction with patients and families.

 

Under administrative supervision of the Executive Vice President of Patient Services, the Director of Patient Services, will be responsible for assessment, implementation and evaluation of administrative operations to deliver efficient and effective delivery of patient care services to nursing and/or ancillary department. Additional responsibilities will include:

  • Working in collaboration with Management team to ensure delivery of patient care services is efficient, with high quality outcomes. 
  • Acting as a department representative for internal and external customers. 
  • Hiring, directing and evaluating designated management staff members. 
  • Performing job duties in accordance with mission, vision, and values of Tampa General Hospital.

 

Requirements include a Master’s degree, current FL RN license, clinical nurse experience and 3-5 years of progressive management experience.
