Spectrum Health has a Joint Commission-accredited and certified Primary Stroke Center and leading provider of comprehensive stroke care.  Spectrum Health is committed to fostering better outcomes for stroke patients. Our specialized neurovascular team, one of the largest of its kind in Michigan, has the expertise to provide the highest level of medical and surgical stroke treatment. The team consists of fellowship-trained, board-certified vascular neurologists and vascular neurosurgeons, as well as neurointerventional, neurocritical care and neurorehabilitation specialists.   

-Dedicated 18 bed Neuro Critical Care Unit with 24 hour coverage.
 
-Four vascular neurology faculty

-24/7 Interventionist on call.

-High volume and high complexity with 1500 strokes a year.
 
About the position:

- Vascular fellowship required

- Vascular board certified/ Eligible (must be boarded within 3 years)

- Teaching medical students and residents

- Participation in research is encouraged

We offer a full continuum of care through the Spectrum Health Hospital Group, which is comprised of 12 hospitals; 180 ambulatory and service sites; more than 3,400 physicians and advanced practice providers, including about 1,600 members of the Spectrum Health Medical Group.

Basic Qualifications:
Education - PhD,MD or Professional Degree in Medicine
Licenses - Current M.D. or D.O. license for the state of Michigan.
Certification in BCLS, ACLS required if stress tests performed or as required by specialty.
Current State of Michigan and Federal Narcotics Licenses.
