Position description

The Occupational Medicine Specialist provides professional services to all patients, business partnerships and staff following established standards and practice.

Corporate Health Services consists of Occupational Medicine, Worker's Compensation Coordination, Worksite Wellness and Business Development. The department serves patients in Eau Claire, Menomonie, and Rice Lake. Primary patient populations consist of: pre-employment exams, DOT certification exams, Worker's Compensation injuries, Social Security and Disability evaluations, attorneys, insurance companies, and businesses.

Travel to Menomonie may be required with this position.


Two-year business/marketing or five years related experience.

Additional qualifications

Two years of experience in medical field, preferably in a clinic setting, preferred. Job skills include excellent written and oral communications and updated continuing education courses in safety and occupational health.

Ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English. Excellent interpersonal skills. Basic computer/keyboard knowledge. Additional languages preferred. Ability to multi-task. Ability to use various forms of office equipment. Must have excellent organizational, communication, writing, and communication skills. Ability to work in conjunction with staff in a supportive way to troubleshoot and resolve issues. Ability to address difficult situations with tact and diplomacy. Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.

License or certification

The following certifications are required within 6 months of employment:

MRO Assistant Certification, NIOSH Certification, Pulmonary Function, Audiometric Testing Training Certification, Drug Screen Collection Certification, BAT Certification and CPR/BLS Certification.

Compensation Detail

Education, experience and tenure may be considered along with internal equity when job offers are extended. The minimum pay rate is $17.68 per hour.

48 hours every two week pay period

Schedule details

Monday - Friday, with varied hours, 6:30am - 5:00pm.

Weekend schedule

No weekends; No Mayo Clinic observed holidays.
