In collaboration with Bed Manager RN, the Bed Manager facilitates emergent transfers from physician offices, external facilities and within Penn Medicine (e.g., Emergency Room, Operating Room, etc.). They place the reservation in EPIC and communicate admission needs to the care team and place patients in appropriate service specific locations.

High School Diploma or GED is required. Associate's Degree in a healthcare field is preferred. 1+ years of experience in a healthcare environment with direct patient and clinical staff contact is required. Medical terminology is required. Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to understand the needs of internal and external clients and devise ways to bridge these needs to achieve goals are required. Data entry and basic computer skills are preferred.
