The Department of Ob/Gyn is looking for a Women's Health Nurse Practitioner to for their Urogyn practice. As a member of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology and under the limited direction and within the scope of the CRNP license, the primary purpose of this position is to provide care and coordination of Urogynecological patients, assist in urodynamic(diagnostic) testing, assist in performing genito-urinary procedures in the outpatient setting as well as participate in inpatient rounding if required. The CRNP in the specialty practice of Urogynecology will work collaboratively with the physicians in a team approach to enhance patient care that enables the practice to streamline new patient visits, improve patient access and provide a high level of coordinated, efficient and quality care to Urogyn and surgical patients. The individual will project a positive image of UPHS through excellent communication, teamwork, teaching, and patient care skills, to support patients/families, facility personnel and UPHS processes to ensure coordinated, efficient, and safe/quality care while providing an excellent patient experience

Currently licensed to practice professional registered nursing (RN) in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania,\n\nM.S.N. and licensed as a certified nurse practitioner (CRNP) in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. \n\nPrior to employment, the CRNP must be reviewed by the Credentials Committee and approved by the Medical Board and licensed by the Commonwealth of PA for prescriptive authority. \n\nMust have current CPR certification.\n\nAt least 2 years of gynecological experience Preferred.\n\nBC WHNP Preferred\n\nPosition requires articulate, mature, self-directed highly motivated individual with a strong clinical background in Ob/Gyn. Ability to work independently and also as part of a team; excellent judgment required. Ability to maintain professional attitude at all times, must adhere to departmental standards for professional office environment and maintain confidentiality. Strong written, verbal communication and teaching skills required. Must have ability to interact with the public and faculty in a sensitive and professional manner. Must demonstrate competence in the assessment, treatment and care of the specific patients served. Minimum requirements for continuing education \n as outlined by the Nurse Practice Act.
