Summary of Accountabilities:Provision of care to patients in a busy, cardiology practice. Collaboration with all members of the care team. Incumbent is responsible to promote organizational values of patient and visitor satisfaction by demonstrating courtesy and respect for all their families, visitors, and other employees. Cares for patients in all age groups from young adults through geriatrics. Demonstrates competence in the assessment, treatment, and care of patients served. All nurse practitioners function under the guidelines as designed by the University of Pennsylvania Medical Center medical staff guidelines and are credentialed through that body. The CRNP hired by the Department of Medicine will be held accountable through a formal job description, through the delineation of privileges, and through their agreement with their collaborating physician who has initiated a Collaborative Practice Agreement. The identified collaborating physician will evaluate the CRNP's Clinical Skills and Competence as part of their annual performance review.
Certifications/Degree Requirements, Minimum Experience Required:\n\nGraduate of a NLN- approved school of nursing. RN and CRNP licensure in the State of Pennsylvania. Must have current CPR certification. Completion of an approved Acute Care Nurse Practitioner program with a MSN. National Certification Board is required. \nPrior nurse practitioner experience is preferable.\n\nWork Requirements:\n\nMonday through Friday. 40 hours in addition to weekend call responsibilities. \n\nHours may be adjusted to meet the operational needs of the department.
