General Summary StatementCares for patients ages 18 and older undergoing electrophysiology procedures. The Electrophysiology Technologist will demonstrate clinical knowledge and perform high quality clinical care for all electrophysiology patients. Essential Duties and Responsibilities 1.\tAssists with performing initial patient assessment / primary interview upon patients arrival. Assists with transporting patients as needed.2.\tPreps for procedures using aseptic technique. Prepares patient for invasive procedures by preparing catheter sites, preparing table and preparing equipment using sterile technique.3.\tCirculates within department during procedures for purposes of providing supplies, attending to the needs of the patient and performing emergency support. Stocks procedure rooms and bedside supplies daily.4.\tResponds to emergency situations by administration of CPR, electrical defibrillation and ventilation.5.\tAssists physicians during procedures by performing scrub assist duties. Prepares specialty equipment as ordered by physician.

Education Training and Experience\nOne or more years recent clinical experience in Electrophysiology Lab strongly preferred\nGraduate of an accredited school of Cardiovascular Science or Radiologic Science preferred.\n\nLicensure/Certification \nRCES, RCIS or ARRT certification required within 12 months of hire\nRCES certification preferred \nBLS and ACLS certification required
