Accelerate your nursing career byjoining our Specialty Training Apprenticeship for Registered Nurses (StaRN)program.  Our Nurse Graduate Program is designed to help you prepare tosucceed in an acute care hospital setting. The program is comprised of a combinationof didactic training, high definition simulation and clinicalpreceptorship. 


As an RN in our StaRN program, youreceive the education and support necessary to develop the judgment, skill andknowledge you'll need to become the highest caliber nurse.  You will havethe opportunity to be mentored by the best, most highly educated and trainednurses within our facilities. 


During the StaRN program, you willwork with instructors to complete class assignments, skills training andexercises. Then, you will work with your preceptor during the preceptorshipthat follows. Our StaRN program begins on February 24, 2020


Program Schedule:


First 5 weeks

  • Monday-Friday, typically 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM with intermittent home study days.  Must be able to attend all days.

Preceptorship – 5 weeks

  •  3 - 12 hours shifts, rotating shifts on Inpatient Rehab at EIRMC

This position requires a two year,full time commitment.  The first year is a commitment to the unit you arehired to at EIRMC.  The second year is eligible to transfer to anotherunit at EIRMC, or any of our other 185 HCA hospitals around the country.

Required Job Qualifications include:

  • Current Licensure as an RN in Idaho within three weeks of starting the program
  • Applicants may apply for the program prior to passing the NCLEX exam
