In this key role, you will apply your advanced expertise and experience to the oversight of the clinical activities of our Gynecologic Oncology Program. Your clinical duties will include: performing and documenting medical and psychosocial health histories; performing physical examinations; entering information into our electronic medical records system; formulating and implementing treatment plans; write chemotherapy orders; obtaining/interpreting appropriate laboratory/diagnostic tests, applying hands-on therapeutic measures (e.g., IV insertion); obtaining psycho-social counseling when appropriate; and following up with patients and their families. As a leader and health educator, you will explain procedures and answers questions for patients, their families and staff members. You will also supervise other nurse practitioners, CNs, LVNs and other staff as well as interface with leadership for day-to-day troubleshooting.


We’re seeking a highly-skilled, oncology-certified nurse practitioner with:

  • Current California nursing license
  • Master’s degree in nursing and at least two years of directly related experience
  • Proven leadership experience and expertise
  • Understanding of principles for managing gynecologic/oncology population
  • Ability to prioritize heavy workloads and deadlines
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, collaboration and follow-through skills
  • Ability to make projections about personnel and other resource needs
  • Computer proficiency with word processing and spreadsheet software
  • Knowledge of medical center computing systems
  • In-depth knowledge of medical research principles, including clinical trials
  • Strong organizational skills and proficiency in meeting deadlines
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize heavy workloads in a fast-paced, high stress environment
