ENA is calling all experienced ED educators who can translate emergency nursing evidence-based practice by developing and disseminating innovative educational products. The Nursing Content Specialist is responsible for the content review and development of educational products and practice resources to ensure clinical accuracy and relevance to emergency nursing practice, as well as consistency among ENA educational offerings.

 Position Responsibilities Include:

  • Ensures that educational product content is clinically accurate, evidence-based, and consistent with current practice and other ENA educational offerings.
  • Reviews and develops educational products and practice resources based on the educational needs’ assessment, professional gap identification, stakeholder feedback, market research, and related market information.
  • Accountable for educational content throughout the new product development process, from product concept to content development, product delivery, product evaluation, and product revision.
  • Collaborates across departments and with other stakeholders as products are considered for development and revision.
  • Serves as a staff liaison to committees and workgroups responsible for the development or revision of educational products. Participates in committee workgroups, per ENA’s strategic and business plan, interacting with groups in various ways. Develops agendas, materials, reports and disseminates information to appropriate individuals and groups.
  • Contributes to the workplace culture that is consistent with the association’s culture statement and emphasizes the mission, vision, and values of the organization.
  • Displays a high level of accountability, taking responsibility for individual actions and the impact on the organization. Views oneself as a reflection of the organization by following through on commitments and accepting ownership.
  • Performs additional related duties as required or assigned.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have the following requirements and demonstrated experience:

Required:

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing
  • Registered nurse; minimum of 3 years of recent experience working as an emergency nurse
  • Proven experience in a shared governance environment. Committee leadership role a plus
  • Strong group facilitation experience in a group environment of leaders/expert members
  • Academic/scholarly writing experience

Desired:

  • ENPC or TNCC faculty
  • Experience in Pediatrics or Injury Prevention
  • Project Management experience
  • Association experience
  • Publishing experience; publishing in clinical or research journals
  • Exceptional collaborative communication and interpersonal skills
  • Team-oriented and able to work independently
  • Effective organizational, analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to exercise a high level of discretion, creativity, and independent judgment
  • Ability to assimilate and role model the association’s collaborative culture
  • Ability to prioritize multiple and varied tasks within established deadlines and tight timelines
  • Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality
  • Ability to interface with staff and external relationships in a timely, professional manner with excellent customer service abilities
  • Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office
