34-bed Progressive Care Unit
Types of high acuity patients include: Telemetry, Stroke, Vent, Trach, Percutaneous Coronary Intervention (PCI), and Chediak-Higashi syndrome (CHS)
Self-scheduling System

The Clinical Coordinator as the assistant to the Department Director performs a dual role - clinical and administrative. He/she is responsible for identifying the need for, implementing and complying with all unit and hospital standards. The Clinical Coordinator is responsible for clinical and administrative decisions on the unit during the absence of the Nursing Director. He/she supervises all caregivers on the unit and service as a role model to staff.

Education:

Associates Degree required, BSN preferred

License/Certifications:

Licensed or eligible licensure in the State of Virginia as a Registered Nurse (required)

American Heart Association for Basic Life Support (BLS) Health Care Provider (required)

ACLS certification (preferred)

Experience:

At least 2-3 working in an PCU Department

Past charge nurse experience (preferred)
