Asthe Electrophysiology (EP) Lab Registered Nurse (RN), you will be responsiblefor performing assessments, developing a plan of care, and implementing andevaluating the care. You will direct, monitor, and evaluate the care delegatedto non-licensed personnel. You will work with all team members to ensure safeand accurate delivery of patient care, and perform a range of technicalservices to serve patient needs. You will also be responsible for patientspecimen testing, quality control and improvement, and equipment maintenance.

  • You will performpatient assessments pre, peri, and post procedure
  • You will collaboratewith interdisciplinary team members to develop, evaluate, and revise the planof care as necessary
  • You will maintain asafe, aseptic environment in the Electrophysiology (EP) Lab
  • You will administermedications and complete treatments as ordered by physicians
  • You will ensure thatall supplies are available, as well as operate and maintain equipment
  • You will ensure thatthe patient has a H&P documented by a physician prior to procedure
  • You will settle thepatient after the procedure and provide the accepting Registered Nurse (RN)with reports on the patient
  • You will coordinate theresponse of the interdisciplinary team for emergency situations
  • You will facilitatepatient discharge plans in collaboration with interdisciplinary teams

  • 1 year of adult, acutecare experience with cardiology or cardiovascular nursing preferred
  • Associates degree inNursing (ADN) OR Nursing Diploma

Licensesand Certifications

  • Current State of TexasRegistered Nurse (RN) license or Compact Registered Nursing License. If CompactLicense, Texas license must be obtained within 90 days of hire
  • Basic Life Support(BLS) certification per St. Davids Healthcare policy
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification perSt. Davids Healthcare policy
