Inpatient Rehab at Parham
- 36 bed adult acute (ages 17 and up)
- Average length of stay: 10-14 days
- 12 hour shifts
- Rehab of diagnoses including but not limited to stroke, brain injury, neurological conditions such as Parkinsons and MS, trauma, orthopedics, pulmonary and cardiac conditions
The IP Rehab Clinical Coordinator provides leadership to assigned nursing unit(s) with responsibility for planning, directing and evaluating the patient care and services provided. The tasks and responsibilities include:
- Demonstrates clinical competence to practice within IP Rehab Scope of Care.
- Manages expenses to stay within budgetary guidelines.
- Manages personnel in the accomplishment of designated goals and the provision of nursing care and services.
- Manages the provision of adequate and competent staffing.
- Evaluates effectiveness of care in producing desired patient outcomes.
- Addresses any issues that affect the desired patient outcomes.
- Ensures departmental compliance with regulatory and JCAHO requirements.
- Monitors and adheres to annual hospital operating budget.
- Implements cost-effective strategies in staffing and supply management decisions.
- Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required for procedures.
- Initiates and documents patient teaching including family and/o significant others. Uses appropriate Patient Education documentation modality.

EXPERIENCE
Required - One year experience as RN with demonstrated proficiency leadership and management skills.
Preferred - Two years experience as a RN in a charge nurse role.
EDUCATION
Required - Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a current license as a RN in the State of Virginia or compact license.
Preferred - Educational programs in nursing management. Currently enrolled in a program of study obtaining a BSN or BS - Business Administration. Certification in Rehabilitation
Required - BLS Certification
