As one of the largest facilities in the nations largest hospital system (HCA), Chippenham Hospital provides the full scope of healthcare services. With 466 beds, we specialize in heart care at the Levinson Heart Hospital and emotional and mental health services through the Tucker Pavilion. Our ER is also a state-authorized Level II trauma center and we offer Central Virginias only Pediatric ER staffed 24/7 by pediatric-trained ER nurse and physician specialists.

The Cardiac Catheterization Lab at Chippenham Hospital:

3 Cath Labs-Averaging 4,000 patients per year (Complex PCI, TAVR, IMPELLA, RVAD)
Level 2 Trauma
Primary Stroke Certified

EDUCATION REQUIRED AND/OR PREFERRED:

Diploma or Associates Degree in Nursing from a school of professional nursing (required)
BSN or current enrollment in a BSN program at an accredited school of Nursing (preferred)

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION:

Licensed or eligible for licensure in the State of Virginia as a Registered Nurse (required)
Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist
American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) Health Care Provider (required)
ACLS(required)

EXPERIENCE:

Required:

Two years of telemetry experience in a high volume unit and successful completion of critical care course class.
RCIS (Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist)

Preferred: Any of the following experience as an RN:

Two years of critical care experience in an ICU / CCU setting
Two years of experience in a busy Emergency Department
Two years of Cardiac Catheterization Lab diagnostic and/or interventional

HOURS:

Full Time
10 hour shifts
80 hours every pay period (every two weeks)
Weekend & Holiday Call Rotations
