What youwill do in this role:

• Perform direct patient care within the scope of the RegisteredNurse Practice Act with emphasis on the cardiovascular service line
• Use therapeutic communication in daily practice
• Maintain a safe and therapeutic Telemetry environment
• Implement and direct care, using the nursing process with emphasison the needs of individual Telemetry patients
• Evaluate the effectiveness of the nursing process
• Provide emotional support of the patient and significant others tomake informed choices regarding health care
• Delegate tasks to the appropriate caregiver
• Participate in cardiovascular department specific initiatives andprocess improvement
• Promote a supportive Telemetry environment.
• Provide supervision of new employees, patient care assistant, vocationalnurses, nurse technicians, student nurses and/or nurse extern.
• Maintain high quality (age specific) care for adolescent, adultand geriatric patients as assigned
• Support the mission, vision and values of the organization.
• Participates in department process improvement projects.Participates and engaged in improving patient satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Bachelors of Science in Nursing is required.

What qualification you will need:

• Graduateof an accredited school of professional nursing
• Currentlicense by the Board of Nurse Examiners for the State of Texas
• BLScertification required
• ACLSrequired or within a minimum of one year employment
