SHIFT: Nights (rotating weekends)

SCHEDULE: Temporary

THIS POSITION HAS A HIGHER PAY RATE OF 45.00 PER HOUR.

This is a seasonal plan position based on a 12 or 24 month contract. Must commit to 3 shifts per week plus every other weekend.

Position Description

Nurses must be able to float to at least 3 areas. Areas needed currently are Medical/Surgical, Telemetry, and Rehab.
The position is under the direct supervision of the Nurse Manager and the Supervisor of the Nursing Unit. According to hospital policies and procedures, the Staff Nurse assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates nursing care for assigned patients.

Qualifications

Education/Experience
Required: Graduation from an accredited school of professional nursing. Two years of Nursing experience.
Preferred: Completion of or actively pursuing a BSN degree. Experience as a Staff Nurse in an acute care setting.

License/Certification
Required: Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in Texas. Current certification from the American Heart Association as a BLS provider.
Preferred: Certification in area of specialty.
