Registered Nurse (RN) Cardiac Specialty Unit - FT Nights

Eastsideisa 310 bed, full-service, acute care medical center with nearly 1,200 employeesand 450 affiliated physicians. The hospital is fully accredited by The JointCommission.Eastside Medical Centerhas been a leaderfor 31 years in a wide range of state of the art healthcare, includingemergency services, neurosurgery, orthopedics, womens services, neurosciences,oncology, cardiology and behavioral health.

The Cardiac Specialty Unit (CSU)at Eastside Medical Center:

  • The CSU nursing staff are highly competent nursing professionalswho provide quality patient care to determine if a patient requires furthertesting and/or monitoring before they can either be admitted to the hospital asan inpatient or discharged home.
  • The CSU includes 18 beds well-equipped to care for cardiacpatients delivering specialized nursing care to a variety of patients withdiagnoses, including but not limited to, pre and post Cardiac Cath,TEE/cardioversion, angina, arrhythmia, CHF and chest pain.
  • Registered nurses, physicians from many specialties and many otherhealthcare professionals collaborate to form a diagnosis and treatment plan foreach individual patient.

Eastside Medical Centeriscurrently looking for aRegistered Nurse (RN) Cardiac Specialty Unit - FT Nights.

  • Responsible for the observation, assessment,nursing diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation of care.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of human growth and development,assessment, range of treatment, and care of patients appropriate to the ages ofpatients served.
  • Promotes customer service initiatives.
  • Utilizes nursing process for individual care to meet needs of patients.
  • Demonstrates ability to perform technical skills and procedures.
  • Documents all patient care using Meditech.

  • Outstanding customer service abilities and effective listening skills
  • Experience with titration cardiac drips preferred
  • Graduate of accredited School of Nursing with a current GA RN license
  • BLS required
  • ACLS required
