SCHEDULE: PRN/Per Diem

Located in central Austin, St. David’s Medical Center includes a 350-bed acute care hospital and a 64- bed rehabilitation hospital providing comprehensive inpatient and outpatient care. It is home to the internationally renowned Texas Cardiac Arrhythmia Institute and St. David’s Neuroscience & Spine Institute. POSITION SUMMARY:

 

This position, under the direct supervision of the CNC (Clinical Nurse Co-coordinator) of Surgical Oncology Unit and according to hospital policies and procedures, the RN assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates nursing care for her/his assigned patients.

Qualifications

LICENSES AND CERTIFICATES:

 

Required: Currentlicense to practice as a Registered Nurse in Texas or identified compactstate. Valid Basic Cardiac Life Supportcertification with specialization for healthcare Providers. Successful completion of the ONS/ONCCChemotherapy Biotherapy Certificate Courseprovided by the Oncology Nursing Society within six (6) months of hire date.  Ifunable to obtain the Certificate after the first attempt, will be expected to successfully completethe examination within (60) days.  If unable to successfully completethe examination after the second attempt, the Oncology Registered Nurse will be reassigned toanother St. David’s Medical Center Nursing Unit.

 

Preferred:  Certificationin area of specialty.
